Volynkin, A.V., Huang, S.Y. & Ivanova, M.S., 2019. An overview of genera and subgenera of the Asura/Miltochrista generic complex (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Arctiinae). Part 1. Barsine Walker, 1854 sensu lato, Asura Walker, 1854 and related genera, with descriptions of twenty new genera, ten new subgenera and a check list of taxa of the Asura/Miltochrista generic complex. Ecologica Montenegrina, 26, pp.14-92.

Note: Vide Volynkin et al. 2019, a number of groups of species considered previously by various authors as members of Barsine were erected  to 20 new genera and four subgenera. Many of these genera occur in India, such as Asura Walker, 1854, Miltochrista Hübner, 1819, Ovipennis Hampson, 1900, Fossia Volynkin, Ivanova & Huang, 2019, Hampsonascia Volynkin, 2019, Barsilene Volynkin & Huang, 2019, Amphisine Volynkin, 2019, Rubrindiania Volynkin & Huang, 2019, Barsaurea Volynkin & Huang, 2019 and Aberrasine Volynkin & Huang, 2019. Not all of these genera are separable from images, alone, and are currently "dumped" in the Asura-Miltochrista-genera-group spp.till they can be separated in specific genera or species.
