Note: Brunia antica (Walker, 1854) is a very variable species displaying sexual and individual polymorphism. Brunia sarawaka, Brunia dorsalis (EL) & Brunia vicaria (EL) females and Brunia ekeikei (m&f) are similar to Brunia antica female. Populations of Brunia in South and West India are probably Brunia antica, with the exception of Brunia pseudoantica Singh & Kirti, 2016, whose TL is Kerala. These species are best separated by examining specimens and genitalia. In the Himalayas, Brunia antica, Brunia sarawaka and Brunia fumidisca can be found, and are best separated by examining specimens and genitalia. Other similar species are: Similar looking species: Eilema prabana, Lithiosa umidisca and Lithosia griseola
