Ecliptopera dissecta -

Ecliptopera rectilinea (Moore, [1887]) is a similar species from N. India.
Note: Vide Hampson (1895) the N. India species (listed as a form of dissecta), E. rectilinea has the sub-basal line dark (which is not so evident in images of E. rectilinea on the website) and the inner edge of the postmedial line straight. Both species listed as valid taxon on the Global Geometridae checklist (Scoble & Hausmann 2007). There are individuals on the Moths of India website with the postdiscal line straight, from Goa and Karnataka; hence the validity of this taxon, based on fascia alone is suspect. Taxonomic status of dissecta and rectilinea needs investigation.
