Subspecies in India

Described from Tamil Nadu by Sato (2014). These records from Goa and Maharashtra are the first records from Western India and extend the known range of the species.

Ophthalmitis pertusaria (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875). TL: Darjeeling, West Bengal. India; Nepal. 
Ophthalmitis striatifera Hampson,1902 

Ophthalmitis sinensium (Oberthür, 1913). India. 
Ophthalmitis xanthypochlora (Wehrli, 1924). India: Arunachal Pradesh.
