Pangora matherana Moore, 1879, India (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu (Nilgiris, Kanyakumari), Kerala, Goa).
Note: A very variable species. "P. erosa has more white colour at the base of the forewing and the ground colour is a little bit different. Quite good figures of the females are in Seitz: Bombyces et Sphinges Indoaustraliens, Pl. 10/a." per comms Dr Karel Cerny.
