Similar species:

Zythos turbata Walker, 1862

Per MOB:  Zythos turbata and Zythos avellanea have similar facies. The striated dark areas are a rusty, rather than blackish, brown in avellanea Prout, and the green medial band meets the forewing dorsum more broadly. The male genitalia are very different, as illustrated.
