Daphnis layardii Moore, 1882. India (Hampson, 1892); Sri Lanka.
Daphnis minima Butler, 1977. Karnataka (Kitching, 2020).
Daphnis nerii (Linnaeus, 1758). Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Punjab (Amritpal et al., 2015).
Daphnis placida (Walker, 1856). Andaman and Nicobar islands (Chandra and Rajan, 2004).

Daphnis hypothous has a white spot at the forewing apex; head and collar uniformly dark purple-brown, thorax and first two abdominal segments dark green, separating it from D. nerii.
