Hypochrosis hyadaria Hypochrosis chlorozonaria : Hypochrosis hyadaria is treated at present as a single species complex with a large number of described sub-species ( Holloway [1994]; Scoble et al. 1999) distributed from India to large areas of S.E Asia and Malayan archipelago.Hypochrosis chlorozonaria Walker, 1861 described from Sri Lanka is treated as a related but distinct species. Both these species may be found flying together in Southern India. Genitalia dissection alone can differentiate the two.
