Plutodes costatus separated from Plutodes warreni as under:

Separating warreni and costatus, based on warreni OD: 
Plutodes warreni has paler colour, FW yellowish triangle at costa at end of ante-medial line, larger. Plutodes costatus has FW yellowish triangle at costa at post-medial, generally smaller, but variable, HW Apical patch separated from ground colour by indendated or sinuous dark line.Underside more weakly marked; FW oblique dark central line almost obsolete.
