Teliphasa elegans (Butler, 1881) (Japan) (white form) & Teliphasa similalbifusa Li in Liu, Wang & Li, 2016 (China), are very similar & best separated by examination of genitalia.

Note:Teliphasa nubilosa Moore, 1888 and Teliphasa orbiculifer Moore, 1888 are mentioned as synonyms of Macalla derogatella in FBI, Hampson, Vol. 4, pg. 114, #4443 and lack the white medial patch on FW.
